Two-Sentence Problem-Solution Workshop
Write and test the two sentences that will anchor every pitch you give. Your answers stay on this page — nothing is saved or sent unless you choose to email yourself.
1
Step One
Select your industry
This loads example problem and solution starters written for your space. Use them as a trampoline — not a template.
2
Step Two
Write your problem statement
Prompt: Describe the problem your customers face — in their words, not yours.
Starters for your industry — click to use as a starting point
These are prompts, not answers. Edit heavily until it sounds like your customers talking, not a pitch deck.
Name the customer type. Name the friction. Avoid product language — this sentence is about them, not you.
3
Step Three
Write your solution statement
Prompt: Describe what you do about it — in terms of outcome, not features.
Starters for your industry — click to use as a starting point
Focus on what changes for the customer after you exist. Features belong on your spec sheet, not here.
Describe the outcome, not the mechanism. A stranger should be able to understand this without knowing your product.
4
Step Four
Run the peer review checklist
Read each question honestly. An unchecked box is a revision note, not a failure.
0 of 5 checks complete
All five checks pass. That's a strong starting point. The real test is showing these sentences to five people outside your inner circle. Watch for nods vs. follow-up questions.

Step Five
